How to integrate your chatbot with Base.com
Introduction
Below is an instruction guide that outlines the process of integrating an existing chatbot (such as one already embedded on a store’s website) with the Base.com system using the API.
Prerequisites
ℹ️ Before you start - make sure you have ChatLab subscription that allows for e-commerce integrations like Base.com. Check the pricing page
Before you start Base.com integration setup, ensure the chatbot is already added to your website. Please check detailed instructions to do this:
1. Configure integration in Base.com
In order to integrate your chatbot with Base.com, you need to get API Token. Log in to your Base.com account and go to ‘My account’ settings.
Click on ‘API’ tab, and then find and copy the API token.
2. Activate Base.com integration for your chatbot
Login to chatlab admin console , select the bot and go to ‘Integrations’ tab.
Enable Integration with Base.com, then provide the Token obtained in previous steps. Specify ‘Filter Order source’ and ‘Filter Order source id’ to integrate with the specific shop.
If you use additional Base.com fields (like extra_field_1, or extra_field_2) to store external order numbers - such as those from ebay or allegro, input the field name in ‘Additional order id field name’ field.
Afterward click ‘Update Chatbot’ button. This will save changes and test integration. You should receive a confirmation message indicating the integration is working properly.
